Holiday Shopping Panic

Yep, it’s that time of year again. Many of us are still rushing to the malls on our lunch breaks and as soon as work is over in the hopes that we can cross just one more Christmas present off the shopping list. In another week or so, even the most die-hard procrastinators will start the last-minute shopping panic. So, what do you buy for those hard-to-shop-for friends and family members? If you are like most of us, you’ll opt for the good old gift card!

In days bygone, a gift certificate even required a little forethought and planning – you had to visit the person’s favorite store or restaurant during normal business hours and wait while they filled out a nice little paper document and placed it in an envelope. Now, you can simply hit the 24-hour Walgreens on the corner and grab a handful of prepaid AMEX cards. Not that they won’t appreciate the money, but where’s the personal touch?

According to a humorous gift recommendation list on Esquire’s website, the hard part about buying good gifts is you have to actually get to KNOW the person you are buying for. Of course, they were talking about workplace gift exchanges, but it applies to your loved ones too. A gift that is truly appreciated is one that shows you’ve been paying attention to their wants and needs.

That’s why Good Works Auto Repair is offering auto repair gift cards again this holiday season. We know there’s at least one person on your list that could use new tires, a tune up, or at least an oil change. Why not help them where they need it most? We know everyone HATES to spend money on their cars, so why not take care of it for them?  Call us today, we’ll help you shine this Christmas!
